| | | | Review Title: I Love It Here, But No Place Is Perfect | | | | | | Reviewer: Anonymous | | | | Review Date: 1/31/05 | | | | | | | Rate This Apartment | | | | | | | I have lived here for almost three years and had my fair share of complaints.I also think the positives outweight the negatives.Some of the residents don't like the new management.Well, I moved in when it was the old mgnt, and the unit was perfect.They painted it and everything was beautiful.I love having my own washer and dryer, fireplace, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, nice kitchen, dishwasher, etc.Sometime there is litter outside including beer cans and cigarettes, but after two guys moved out of my building, that problem went away.I think it's all about who lives there!A couple of times a year, a "gang" comes through and breaks into cars.This has happened all over Grandview/Upper Arlington and only happens if you keep stuff in your car...it's common sense...clean out your car and they won't have anything to steal!The management refused to do anything about this; they wouldn't even put up signs warning of cameras (which don't exist, but the thieves don't know that).This has been my main complaint; we pay enough and they couldn't put up a sign or two...But other than that, maintenence has been good. I lost power (just my unit..weird) on a Friday night.Within a half hour, someone came offhours to fix it.The gym and pool are very nice, as well as the club house.My favorite thing, hands down, is the location.It's less than 30 seconds to the highway.3 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to OSU.8 minutes to the airport.10 minutes to Easton; and Grandview is a great place to eat, drink, and be merry.I recommend this complex to anyone who wants to sleep in those extra few minutes instead of commuting.Come and visit, but knock on a few doors in your potential building before you sign a lease and ask a few basic questions about your future neighbors!Good luck! | | | | |
