I like it- sometimes

It’s definitely not the most luxurious place I’ve seen, but like I’ve read, you get what you pay for. My rent is dirt cheap, but I really like my place and the location. I’m currently in a 2 bedroom in the back of the complex. I’m very close to the pool and pond, and my neighbors are nice. I do have the neighbor who throws bags of dirty diapers outside their door and doesn’t always bring the garbage to the dumpsters every day. As long as I don’t smell it and they keep it close to their door, I don’t care enough to bitch about it to management. I work during the day and I’ve never had any problems with vandalism. There are a ton of speed bumps and pot holes that have torn up my car. I always feel bad asking a friend to come visit me because their car may be swallowed whole by a pot hole. If those get fixed, it won’t be so bad. The security in the front is a joke. They are only in their hut at night. They are supposed to have everyone buzzed in if they’re guests of a resident, but it’s gets so backed up onto Stelzer that security lets cars through all of the time. I would almost prefer that the gate wasn’t even there. It’s not like the residents are being protected. It’s more of a nuisance to wait for the person in front of you to find there swipe card, and of course jump out f there car to swipe because they didn’t pull close enough to the scanner, and then drive 2 miles an hour to only stop in the middle of the street instead of pulling in a parking space. The noise level is fairly quiet. There is an occasional party in the summer that is loud, but I’m young and don’t mind. Also, in the summer there are tons of kids, everywhere. I’m close to the pool so it gets noisy during the day, but quiet at night. There are many parking spaces, but I find that I have to park far away from my apartment daily because the same cars are in the same spots every day. I’m not sure that most of the cars ever move. Actually, I noticed a foot of snow surrounding a car in front of my place for about 2 weeks until the snow melted. There were no tire tracks, so I know that car never moved. Overall, it’s not that bad. If I had the money I would probably move but for now while I pay off all of my debt, this place will do. |
