Apartment Review for Annhurst Apartments - Columbus, OH

Listen, if you meet with Barb you are in for a treat she has the most interesting laugh ever. The other lady whom I have nicknamed miss Piggy however is a very nosey woman who works in the office. Miss piggy lives on site and is full of complaints and just looks like an unfriendly woman. The repair men are very handy and are typically very fast but thankfully I've never needed to use them more than once in 8 months. Our air conditioning wasn't performing well and he came within 20 minutes of the complaint and even cleaned the filter when it turned out that was the only reason for its under performance. The apartments are small but you get what you pay for. The only complaints I have are the places get a little musty unless you keep fans running especially after showers due to poor ventilation but we were warned prior to move in. Barb went through the whole lease with us up front and even asked us to check out the unit before move in (which we would have done anyway) The place was spotless and recently steam cleaned. We were lucky enough to get a brand new stove but the appliances are dated to say the least. I have never complained about noise and my neighbors were mostly friendly. We had a dog and after the deposit did not get our monthly payments raised (like they are supposed to as stated in the leasing agreement). Making rent payments are as easy as dropping an envelope through the door of the leasing office and I have never had a problem with lost rent. Creepy crawlies will be a problem as they will infiltrate the house but anyone who has ever lived next to a creek and woods knows this will eventually happen. They are typically just ants and spiders occasionally but keeping food off the floors/counters will clear this up. Leaving trash on the porch will not necessarily get you in trouble from the leasing office but you WILL be visited by raccoons. I have never felt unsafe and have always had numerous parking spots to choose from. Overall its a great place for a small budget. I won't be renewing my lease primarily because of the small units but also because there is no gym/pool or any other recreational things on the grounds, but if that stuff is unimportant to you then this is your place. Also there is no dishwasher in my unit which is a huge pain. I think they also advertise central air when in fact the ac is really just a wall unit that has a vent to the bedroom (at least in the 1 b). I love my girlfriend very much.
