Apartment Review for Ashton Pines - Columbus, OH

For one who dwells primarily in apartments through job assignments across the country, I have found that management responds best when you understand their jobs. They have to care for the property and respect the occupants, while promoting their facility and acting as bookkeepers, counselors, and, occasionally, the "bad guys" when a miscreant causes problems. I approached them as a professional and Ashton Pines management responded in kind. My apartment was newly refurbished. The few problems that I encountered were addressed quickly and completely. The rent was in line with other apartment complexes on the West side of Columbus. My assigned parking space was in front of my unit and I left my vehicle all week, without incident, as I used public transportation to commute to downtown Columbus. The infamous "helicopter incident" cannot be blamed on Ashton Pines although it was rather interesting to watch. I never felt unsafe. The grounds are in good condition, the pool is kept clean, and contrary to some other comments under this listing, I found the management staff to be friendly, courteous, and respectful. When I left Ashton Pines for a new assignment away from Columbus, I was charged only for a carpet cleaning and I felt that to be a fair and reasonable fee. The balance of my deposit was returned quickly.
