Apartment Review for Barrington Square Apartments - Columbus, OH

Where to start...... Moved into a nice two bedroom apartment to find that there idea of "updating" is peel and stick tile, cheap carpet and a coat of cheap white paint on anything that would stand still long enough to be painted! They work hard at keeping the flowerbeds and pool looking nice but other then that you can forget it. The windows are from the 70's and are what I like to call heat pumps.....in the summer they pump the heat in and in the winter they pump the heat out! You can feel a draft when you walk by any of the windows or doors. The HVAC system is as old as the apartments and are always breaking down. Area is ok but could go either way depending on how desperate they are to fill the apartments. I haven't had to many problems with crime but then again it only takes a few bad apples to move in to change that. The handy man has been ok for fixing things but you should just go ahead and fix small stuff yourself. They just recently jacked the rent up and now are making us pay our own water bill, however, we don't have individual water meters so they guesstimate what we owe................need I say more! I would recommend you look elsewhere for a nice place to live. For the money there are alot of better apartments out there!!!!
