Apartment Review for Bayberry Place Townhomes - Columbus, OH

I hate this ghetto ass place and can't wait to leave it. Within the first month living here we had terrible problems with the neighbors and noise. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The neighbors blast their music all day long. The office never did anything about it. One time I asked them to turn it down and they came at me and assulted me. The office didn't do anything about it even though I called the police. I was in the office one day to once again complain about my neighbors, and there was another lady complaining about her neighbors, cops and fights and it not being safe for her as well. On new years, I couldn't even go outside because my next door neighbors were shooting off guns in the air out my front and back door. I was trapped in my own house and scared because I didn't want to get hit by any random bullets. The police were slow to react to this as well as the office, who still didn't care. The parking is terrible. You are supposed to get 2 places per unit, but since nothing is assigned, you don't get anything. My neighbors, on both sides have people over at all times and I never get to park infront of my own door. I can't ever bring my groceries in, of just have that convenience of parking by my door. The office sent out letters saying that if you didn't have a parking pass on your car, they will tow you. Well, where are the tow trucks? They haven't been around or seen to help relieve this situation. The noise in this place is terrible. There's bumping music all hours in houses and cars. People outside yelling at eachother all the time, and kids randomly everywhere. I'm always spotting police cars around becasue this place is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ghetto. The office staff has changed so many time since Ive been here, I never know who I'm going to see when I walk in there. So nothing gets resolved because whenever you ask for help, they get someone else in there before the other person could have done anything. The maint is surprisingly good though. My AC didn't work for the first time use for the summer and they were out early the next morning and it has worked perfectly ever since. Anytime I need anything from them, they are good and quick. No problems there. When we moved in, we filled out the move in list, nothing was ever done. The place was slapped together for us. Pain all over the carpets from lazy prep, and terrible paint jobs anyways, still stains on carpets, and crack in basement walls. The place isn't so bad, but its old, no dishwashers on lots of em, and needs a lot of renovations. I've been dealing with a big roach problem. I'm am so clean, I was very suprised to see them. They're in the walls so it doesn't matter if you're clean or not, they're comin in. The office doesn't do anything about bugs. They say its your problem to fix and not theirs, so I took care of it, but you can never get em all. They're in the walls, so they'll never be gone completely. Everything in my place is electric, so utlilties isn't bad considering its the only bill I have besides cable and stuff. Water is in the rent and a flat rate, which is nice, only $26. I'm not saying don't move in, but if you were smart you wouldn't. I would want to rais my kids here or ever risk bringing them here. I've heard of many breakin because the ghetto kids around here have not respect. I haven't experienced thie myself, but I've heard of it from other tenants. Its too ghetto and too loud and management is always changing. If you like ghetto neighbors and ghetto life, this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend this place to normal real respectable people.
