Apartment Review for Bolton Estates - Columbus, OH

I lived at Bolton from 2007 to late 2008. I broke my lease just so I didn't have to sleep with one eye open any more. All the reviews you read here are true. This is the Hispanic Projects (no racism/discrimination intended at all). My wife went outside once to retrieve something from the car and left the door cracked open and a kid (age 1-2) only wearing a diaper walked in. I grab the kid and walked out to only find no parents around. I then saw a young lady come down the steps and asked her if she knew who's kid this was. She replied that it was her neice and walked away. So I brought the kid upstairs to the apartment with the door open and knocked on the siding to only find out that the people were packing up and moving out because of eviction. The strange part was that one of the guys was smoking crack off of a soda can (and yes crack, I know what weed is) and continued to do it while I stood there with, I assume, it was his kid. Also, the teenagers find the places with the lowest lights and sit on the steps and smoke pot. You also see a lot of glass and garbage around the stairwells and sidewalks, so if you got kids, PLEASE leave them inside. While living here, you'll notice that the ghetto bird helicopter that Tupac used to reference comes through nightly and shines lights into your windows. Last piece of advice: If you're a smoker, do not, I repeat, DO NOT let them see you smoking outside. You will receive knocks on your door all hours of the night to bum a cigarette.
