Apartment Review for Heritage - Columbus, OH

I was moving from the Cincinnati Area and was looking for a nice place, and from the pictures and the daytime tour everything SEEMED nice. The add said that the two-bedroom apartments were around $650 a month, but they ambush us with $825 during the tour, saying that all of the cheaper ones were currently occupied. Then a week before we move in they tell us that they gave our reserved unit away to someone else. How nice right? Well they offered us a 3 BR unit fro the same price, which seemed nice, until they told us later that it wouldn't be the same price but that it would have to be raised because their boss wouldn't allow it. And we're thinking, that's not our problem, but oh well. We needed to have a place in two days, and this was our only option. Now this kitchen is barely bigger than a closet, and when you get in everything seems okay, maybe a little run down, but okay. That's because right before you settle in maintenance comes in and half-asses everything to make it look "nice." Then about two weeks later everything starts to fall apart, and good luck getting a hold of maintenance. One day I called 3 times and no one came, I called the next morning and demanded I be dealt with immeadiately as I saw all of maintenance just standing outside talking. They came, claimed my door was just old and then left. Well that doesn't help the fact that our door keeps blowing open! So I called and called, and called, FINALLY 3 days later they come down to work on it, would you believe that my door still blows open? That my floor is rotting (and they didn't even know about it, we had to point it out to them! Aren't they supposed to inspect these places?)? Out Fridge leaks water all over the place? Our Blinds don't work, and everything is so small and thin that i Can hear our neighbors daily "rumbles" and them beating their dog. Nice neighborhood right? The only good thing about the place is Molly up in the office, now SHE is wonderful. I go to her for everything, and Mike is nice too, but I don't really care for the rest of them. Never had pleasant experiences. Now the place does comes with free wi-fi, a gym, and a pool, however our wi-fi is currently down, and will be for about a week and a half. That sucks when you have online school work to do. So the choice is yours...but yeah...be smart.
