Apartment Review for Mercer Square - Columbus, OH

I thought Mercer Square was going to be a nice place to live. I thought wrong!! Here's why... 1. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors talking, watching TV, having sex, showering, etc. It's awful. 2. Due to poor insulation (I assume) it never stays warm. My bedroom (which is on an outside wall) is always 10 degrees colder than the rest of the apartment. 3. The hot water barely lasts long enough for a 15 minute shower. Also, the fan turns on automatically with the light which causes me to freeze in the shower. 4. The electric bills are outrageous! I've lived in apartments and houses and never paid as much as I do at Mercer Square. 5. Parking is terrible. It's rare to find a spot outside or even remotely near my apartment unless I get home in the middle of the day. 6. Every time the tenate above me flushs their toilet, I hear a gush of water for about 5 mintues. It's loud enough to wake me durning the middle of the night. 7. If you have anyone living on top of you, it sounds like they are dropping bowling balls on your cieling all day long. Even though they are probably just walking around. 8. The staff is totally unwilling to help you in any way. I have finally reached the supervisor level of management and still they are careless about your troubles. 9. They are terrible about clearing snow in the winter. It was days after a bad strom before a plow even came through. I even saw a woman using her dust pan to clear snow out from under her car! That is ridiculous! People move to apartments to avoid this kind of maintenance and upkeep. 10. They are over priced! I pay over a $1000 a month for something that deserves less than $100 month. 11. They play music throughout the day. Don't even try to take a nap if you live anywhere near the office. It's impossible. And at night all you hear is the sound of cars zooming by and clanging from the flag pole. Don't waste your money!!
