Apartment Review for Mercer Square - Columbus, OH

I have lived in many apartments, and while the decor is contemporary and room sizes are large - the cons outweigh the pros...and sadly, I pay more for this place then I have in the past. WALLS ARE PAPER THIN. Currently in the apartment above me I can hear thumping music, talking, screaming etc as if they were in my apartment with me. When a toilet flushes above you it's like a waterfall in your apartment. And walking around above you, it sounds like 50lbs weights are dropping. Parking is terrible, good luck finding a spot. And if it snows, forget about it. Snow removal is the worst I have ever seen. And we pay for this service in our rent. I have fallen in the parking lot 5 times this month alone. Sidewalks were only cleared enough to walk single file, and because of the plowed piles you can't tell where the curb ends and lot begins. Even with no snow on the lot, there is barely enough space to park your car because of the garages poorly located in the middle of the complex. There are just not enough parking spots for renters. Poorly insulated, bedroom is always much colder than the rest of the apartment, yet the electric bills are through the roof. Our bill last month was $220, and our apt is at 68 degrees. My bill was more than my parents 5 bedroom house! Bonus, you are charged for common areas electric (which likely included the christmas lights out last month) and never told this. I cannot wait to move out of this place.
