Apartment Review for Ravine Bluff - Columbus, OH

I felt safe in these apartments, until SWAT woke me up when they were arresting some neighbors. Wonder what he was arrested for. I doubt it was parking tickets.

Where I was located parking was good as long if no one else was home. Otherwise you had to park in the street or another parking lot.

Management was nice for the most part. Have no problem w/ them. Maintenance was quick but they rarely fixed the problem the first time. On move in date the apartment was nothing like the model. They give you a form to fill out to put any problems you see so you wont be charged later when you move out. I suggest you are very detailed. If you see any spot, dirt in the windows, medicine cabinet, tub, cabinets, closets, stove, anything...you better write it down. Otherwise you will be charged for stuff you know that you did not do. Take pictures, or video...w/ a date. Otherwise they will not believe you. My countertops were falling, I could see insulation in the walls. Everything was dirty. Medicine cabinet, bleach spots on carpet.. etc. So I wish I took pictures when I Moved in.

A/C worked 10 days out of every summer. And my tub leaked down stairs on to my stuff and the carpet. My water meter broke and leaked on my walls, carpet, and also my neighbors apartment. So I'm pretty sure my neighbors will be charged for water damage when they move out. But I did get free water for a few months.

Some other neighbors got kicked out of their apartment. They left a sofa, bed, humidifier, broken mirrors and dresser in the middle of the parking lot, blocking spots. I called maintenance twice to come out. They didnt, so I carried it all by myself to the dumpster. I have muscles now. So thats cool...

After all this they kept my doposit, and wanted $120 more. I agree w/ some but not all the damages. But many were there when I moved in. So TAKE Pictures or video when you move in. Otherwise you will be paying like I did. And just have to move on about your business as if its just another unexpected bill.

Its a two star rental, but when you move out they give you a list of stuff to clean like its a 5 star rental. You will look at it and wish you had that list when you moved in. So you would know what you should be getting.

Would I recommend these apartments. Depends. The rent is cheap. You pay for what you get. W/ $500 rent you get a 1970's look. If you have kids, I would not recommend these apartments. Not when you have SWAT arresting neighbors. Otherwise they are okay. Rent now for apartment are $700 to $1000 now. So the price is right. You just dont get all the perks like non leaking tubs and A/C.
