Apartment Review for Summerview Apartments - Columbus, OH

Having the need to move to the area on short notice the staff was great. The issues I have are that when we moved in, we filled out the 'checklist' which details maintenance that needs done when you move in or that should have been done. Having been here for a year and a half it still hasn't been fulfilled. Half of the doors are missing pieces or broke, not completely sealed around the door to the outside so your heat and air get out and of course back in. The maintenance staff is great. The staff in the office is ignorant, rude, and airy. We are currently on month to month because the lady in the office doesn't have our lease ready and we were not told our lease ran out. Because of the anytime dollars running out which we used month to month during our lease, our rent has gone up $50. Oh, and a free washer and dryer? No, we get charged $20 a month for that. I've since printed everything online I've found in order to strike a deal because this is a rip-off. Our neighbors upstairs are very polite and contact us if they think they've been too loud to apologize. The neighbors behind us are extremely loud playing music blaring until 3am. Nothing has been done about it. The appearance is ok. Parking is a pain. Otherwise it's ok. Just not worth over $700 a month. Rent should be more like $500. If it wasn't for the fact we have to live here and everything else around us is ridiculously expensive we wouldn't be here. Only thing I can say is we both feel very safe as there is an officer that lives near us.
